Radical announces big name partnerships

12 January 2018

Radical Cars has announced its first new global partners in a decade, as part of its 21st anniversary showcase at the Autosport International show.

The company announced that, with immediate effect, Hankook Tire is Radical’s dedicated tyre partner across all championships and racing activity worldwide. Meanwhile, Motul was also announced as the British manufacturer’s official lubricant partner, with Motul oil set to be utilised in all Radical models.

Hankook Tire manager, Motorsport Team Europe Young Soo Kim, and Motul’s Romain Fabre joined Radical CEO Joseph Anwyll for the announcement.

Radical says the appointment of the partners is the first of a number of planned initiatives, and marks the manufacturer’s move toward unified model regulations and specifications across all official championships across the world. This standardisation will offer drivers and teams a new consistent level of support and service, and will also offer drivers a simplified and levelled global playing field.

Commenting on the new partnership, Manfred Sandbichler, director of Hankook Motorsports, said that the move was a part of the company’s international commitment. “Radical stands for top performance on the track as well as on the road. We will help to ensure that the vehicles will be at top performance on the track as well a on the road…Another highlight of the new partnership will be our cooperation in many popular motorsports series across continents,” he said.

Motul’s Romain Fabre, meanwhile added that “Radical is one of the very few companies sharing Motul Values, building bridges between the automotive and the motorcycle worlds, and committing to ambitious growth plans whilst remaining true to their core values. We are very pleased to be the first lubricants partner for Radical.”
