Watch: McLaren Senna track car design explained

20 February 2018

McLaren has released a video describing its new hypercar track-focused road car, the Senna, is the ‘most extreme vehicle McLaren has ever made’, according to its senior designer, Esteban Palazzo.

Palazzo explains how the design of its new McLaren Senna had to reflect on the iconic driver, Ayrton Senna, whom it was named after.

The car is the most track-focused road car McLaren has ever built, and it will set the fastest lap times of any McLaren to date and aims to deliver the most intense driving experience around a circuit.

The Ultimate Series model costs £750,000, weighs 1198kg dry and will produce 660bhp per tonne.
