LinkedIn612 hp Mercedes-AMG E63 ‘S’ released
Mercedes has released details of its AMG tuned E63 ‘S’ model with a twin turbo four-litre V8 boasting 612 hp and a drift button.
The new performance saloon from Mercedes-AMG beats the car maker’s hardened AMG GT- R to 60 mph achieving the speed in just 3.4 seconds.
“At the start of the development process, we opted for a fully variable all-wheel drive system which, when combined with the advanced performance of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine,” said Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
The E63 features advanced cooling technology which, influence by Mercedes-AMG’s motorsport escapades.
The E 63 S comes with 4MATIC+ which is a newly engineered, clever system combining the benefits of multiple drive types.
This includes torque distribution on the front and rear axles, which is fully variable for the first time, ensures optimum traction right up to the physical limit.
